Week 1 - Thank you!
What a Week!
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to send a little message after our very first week of The Sing Thing Choir to say a massive thank you to every single one of you who came along!
I really hope you enjoyed your first session and that you’re enjoying getting stuck into The Best so far. It’s been so lovely finally getting everyone together, hearing the choirs come to life and starting to build the brilliant community I hoped The Sing Thing Choir would become.
WEEK 1 CATCH-UP IS NOW LIVE!
If you want to go back over anything from this week, I’ve now uploaded our first choir catch-up video session to the Song Resources section of the Members Area.
It covers what we worked on during Week 1, so whether you want a little extra practice, missed something in the session or just fancy singing it all again at home, it’s there whenever you need it.
PLEASE KEEP SPREADING THE WORD!
I also want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has already helped get the word out about our new choir. Every shared post, video, recommendation to a friend and mention in a local Facebook group genuinely makes such a difference, particularly while we’re still brand new.
We’ve had such a brilliant start, and we still have space to welcome new people into our choir family - and somewhere out there are people who would absolutely love what we’re doing, they just haven’t discovered us yet!
So if you’re happy to, please keep helping us get the word out there. Share our posts and videos, tell your friends and family, pop something into your local community groups or invite somebody along to try us. You never know who might discover The Sing Thing Choir because of you.
I’ll also have some leaflets at choir this week, so please feel free to grab a few if you know somewhere you could pop them or someone you could give one to.
Every single share, recommendation and invitation helps somebody new find us, and I’m incredibly grateful for all your support in helping The Sing Thing grow.

You get to choose what we’ll be singing for our week 5 song, so head over to the website, have a look at the choices and cast your vote. I’m looking forward to seeing which one wins!
WEEK 10 – FAMILY & FRIENDS WEEK!
We’ve also got something special planned for the final week of the term.
Week 10 will be Family & Friends Week!
We’d love you to invite your family and friends along to experience a little bit of The Sing Thing Choir love, see what we get up to each week and, of course, hear what you’ve all been working on throughout the term!
It won’t be a big formal performance - it’s about welcoming the people closest to you into our choir for the evening, having some fun and giving you the chance to show them what you’ve been part of over these first ten weeks.
More details will follow nearer the time, but start thinking about who you might like to bring along!
CHRISTMAS PARTY – SAVE THE DATE!
And finally… we couldn’t start our first term without having something to celebrate at the end of it!
Our first The Sing Thing Choir Christmas Party will be on:
Friday 18th December 2026
We’ll have a live band, some singing and lots of fun, and it’ll be a chance for members from all four choirs to get together for a proper end-of-term celebration and a chance to sing as one for the first time!
The venue will be announced very soon and will be somewhere nice and central between all of our choir locations.
Tickets will be £15 per person, and the event will be added to the website at the end of this week with more information.
For now, get the date in your diary!
Thank you again for making our first week such a lovely one. Starting something completely new is always a little bit scary, but seeing you all walk through the doors, hearing you sing and watching these new groups begin to come together has made it completely worth it.
We’re only one week in, and I’m really excited to see where we can take this.
